We had Ying (me), Furia, Makoa, Talus and Maeve. Nerf its damage by a lot, give it a cooldown, and give it a secondary effect like caut or extra shield damage or poison idk. Not to mention the fact that area denial is supposed to make pushes hard, not deny pushes completely until said character is dead. Should broadside be nerfed? Hell yes the fact that this is even allowed is kind of dumbfounding. Should Broadside be removed entirely? Hell no, area denial is a good tool to funnel people and open them up to potentially massive damage from another attack. I genuinely believe that this is an issue. But I also believe the stacked tower helped the situation. Because of their setup our Talus was only able to get three kills on the Dredge, most of which were ultimates.Īnswering some possible questions: "why didn't you have a sniper?" I ask you, why must a character be so overly powerful that he must always be counter picked with a specific damage class, even in casual?ĭid we have a bad flank? Yeah probably. It was tedious, not fun and just all around awful. Their Willow was on point spamming her thorn bomb things waiting for Seris to sweep ghe left flank and join up with her.Įach point capture took upwards of ten minutes, with them winning out every time. Here's their setup: have dredge in the enemy team's tower spamming broadside along with a sniper (i think it was Strix), while having Lian and Seris cut off both flanking routes. They also have a Willow, so keep that in mind before you say "this situation is easily dealt with" They have a Dredge but most every Dredge tries to act like a flank in casual so that's fine. So I'm playing casual on Splitstone Quarry, its first round and everything is good.
